Boots and Breast Cancer Care - 10th year of working together

We’re particularly proud of our partnership and our achievements over the past 10 years.  In 2002 we gave our campaign the ‘be up front’ branding and incorporated a simple five-point breast awareness code into all our communications. The aim of this is to encourage women and men to be aware of what’s normal for them and to flag up anything out of the ordinary early.

“Since it was formed in 1849, Boots has believed in social justice and helping the community. Our partnership with Breast Cancer Care is an extension of this heritage. It fits perfectly with the ethos of the Company and reflects the importance of this issue to our key stakeholders; our people
and our customers”.

Richard Baker, Boots Chief Executive
The ‘be up front’ campaign takes place in all Boots stores during September and October and includes the sale of an exclusive range of pink products, and fun in store fundraising events.

With an updated design for this year’s pink ribbon badge and a new and exclusive stylish pink bracelet, it’s as easy as ever to show support for the cause.  Simply donate £1 badge and £2 for the bracelet, and the full amount will be donated to Breast Cancer Care.

Both will be on sale in Boots stores nationwide from the 4th September.
